Agent is an upcoming Indian Telugu-language spy action thriller film[1] directed by Surender Reddy from a story written by Vakkantham Vamsi. It stars Mammootty, Akhil Akkineni, Sakshi Vaidya, Dino Morea and Vikramjeet Virk.
Agent was announced in September 2020. Filming took place in Hyderabad, Budapest, Visakhapatnam and Manali. Initially postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic and production delays, the film is now scheduled for a theatrical release in Summer 2023.
Release
Agent was scheduled to be released on 12 August 2022 but it was postponed indefinitely due to production delays and Akkineni's injuries. Initially, the film was initially scheduled for a release on 24 December 2021, but the production start was heavily postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
On 24 October 2022, the makers of the film announced that the film will release on summer 2023. It is planned to release in Telugu along with the dubbed versions in Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam, and Kannada languages. On 26 January 2023, the makers of the film announced that the film will finally release on April 14 2023.
